In Düsseldorf, a new administrative high-rise sets the tone for the next generation of civic buildings: radically open, socially connective and technically future-proof. Anchored by a soaring atrium that draws in light and life, the design clusters modular work neighbourhoods around garden terraces and winter gardens, redefining how public space and office culture can coexist. Programmatically diverse, the building bridges city and park, integrates bike-first mobility and opens groundlevel services to the public. More than just a workplace, it becomes a civic stage – honest, green and generous.

Sustainability defines the project at every level. Conceived under Cradle-to-Cradle principles, the hybrid timber-concrete structure prioritises circular construction, low-carbon materials and high prefabrication. Photovoltaic façades, geothermal systems and naturally ventilated climate buffers ensure net-zero-ready performance. Even the technical core – a cascade of decentralised HVAC units and intelligent lighting – works in concert with passive strategies and lush rooftop gardens. The result is a workplace that demonstrates how civic architecture can become both ecologically regenerative and socially inclusive, setting a benchmark for future public buildings.
