Harbour Front Centre is envisioned as a new gateway to Singapore’s southern waterfront: a vibrant, landscape-led destination connecting the city with Sentosa and the maritime horizon. A publicly accessible green podium rises gently from the surrounding streets, carrying a slender office tower above retail, transport and public space. Together, these elements create an open and welcoming place where movement, nature, work and urban life converge.
The redevelopment provides an important catalyst for Singapore’s ambition to establish a continuous waterfront promenade along its southern coast. Its location beside the connection to Sentosa gives the project a strategic role within this evolving urban landscape. Visual, physical and programmatic links connect the waterfront with the MRT station, the adjacent mall and the wider district, while carefully positioned building volumes preserve important views from Mount Faber towards the sea.
The project’s architectural identity is defined by two complementary elements: a lifted landscape and a tower that appears to float above it. The podium forms a generous, multi-level public terrain that integrates greenery, retail, circulation and vertical access within a single spatial system. Its porous edges, shaded routes and multiple entrances invite movement across the site and establish continuity between the city, the building and the waterfront.

The elevated park gives the full footprint of the development back to the public as an accessible green space. Terraces, planted paths and places to rest create a new destination for the district, culminating in a sunset terrace with expansive views towards Sentosa and the sea. The landscape becomes both public realm and environmental infrastructure, providing shade, reducing heat and creating a biophilic setting within a highly urban context. A central circulation spine runs through the podium, connecting the principal entrances and guiding visitors through the retail environment. At the centre, it opens into a naturally illuminated atrium surrounding the base of the tower. This vertical space forms the heart of the development, linking the MRT, multiple retail levels, the rooftop landscape and the offices above. Daylight, greenery and long views provide orientation and create a strong sense of connection between city, nature and sky. Retail is embedded beneath the park as an extension of the public realm. Light-filled interior routes open towards plazas and outdoor gathering spaces on both sides of the development, while the central atrium draws visitors between levels. The combination of commerce, leisure and landscape creates a varied experience throughout the day and supports the podium’s role as an active social centre. The office tower rises lightly above this green base. Its curved form reduces the area occupied at podium level, preserving more space for landscape and reinforcing the building’s sense of openness. The sculpted façade contributes to the tower’s elegant and recognisable identity while providing a degree of self-shading. Integrated planters extend across every level, transforming the elevations into a vertical garden and carrying the landscape of the podium into the skyline.

Inside, the tower provides highly efficient Grade A workplaces. A central core and column-free floorplates allow flexible configurations for a wide range of tenants, while full-height glazing offers panoramic views from the CBD to Sentosa. Horizontal shading elements reduce solar exposure while retaining daylight and visual transparency. Direct access to the landscape, retail and public transport supports a workplace experience shaped around comfort, convenience and wellbeing.

HarbourFront Centre is fully integrated into Singapore’s mobility network. Direct MRT access anchors the project in public transport, while connections to the coastal cycling routes are supported by bicycle parking and end-of-trip facilities. Clearly organised drop-off areas serve the office and retail components, and basement parking maintains efficient vehicle access. These systems are incorporated into a clear circulation strategy that makes arrival and movement intuitive for commuters, visitors and residents of the wider district. Environmental performance is embedded in the project’s architecture. Passive shading, efficient building systems, flexible floorplates and extensive planting reduce energy demand and improve occupant comfort. The development targets LEED Platinum and Green Mark Super Low Energy certification, reflecting the performance-driven principles of supergreen®. Greenery across the podium and tower supports biodiversity, improves the microclimate and creates healthier spaces for working, shopping and meeting.
