Tucked into the Alpine foothills, Lanserhof Tegernsee merges minimalist luxury with rege-nerative architecture. Opened in 2014, the 70-room health resort is organised around the spatial logic of a monastery: clear lines, calm sequences, and a central green courtyard that frames silence and retreat. Sliding timber shutters provide privacy without disconnecting guests from nature, balancing openness with seclusion. The cubic form of the main buil-ding sits quietly in the landscape, its untreated larch façade and planted lower levels rooting the architecture in the surrounding terrain.
Inside, pared-back interiors of natural wood, soft light, and muted tones echo the clinic’s holistic philosophy. Here, architecture becomes part of the therapy, where spatial clarity supports biological harmony and the healing process. Designed with building biology principles and awarded DGNB certification, the resort embodies sustainability at every level – from material selection to energy performance. Green roofs, efficient systems, and natural ventilation reinforce a sense of ecological balance. More than a destination, Lanserhof Tegernsee stands as a curative environment where design, medicine, and mindfulness converge into a model of minimalistic retreat.
