Inside the new underground station, the spatial character of the future platforms is becoming increasingly tangible. The distinctive concrete shell structure with its sculptural columns and large light openings now defines the interior, while work on the platforms, circulation routes and technical infrastructure continues.

At the same time, work is progressing on the historic Bonatzbau. Along its exterior façade, the new large-scale arched windows are currently being installed, carefully integrating contemporary interventions into the existing architecture.

Step by step, old and new are coming together – and the transformation of Stuttgart Central Station is taking shape.
